About

Algebra Tiles use small squares, rectangles, and large squares to represent constants, variables, and squared variables. Because the pieces have a different color on each side, they can also be used to represent positive and negative quantities. Algebra Tiles can be used to explore many algebraic concepts, including adding and subtracting polynomials, factoring trinomials, and the Zero Principle.
