The standards covered in Unit 5 are: classify and sort two dimensional shapes based on attributes using geometric language, create two dimensional figures, identify two dimensional shapes, identify three dimensional figures, classify and sort three dimensional figures based on their attributes using geometric language, compose two dimensional shapes by joining two, three, or four figures to produce a target shape in more than one way if possible, partition two dimensional figures into fair shares, and identify examples and non examples of halves and fourths (and thirds). With Guided Math, students develop a deep conceptual understanding of math, acquire computational fluency, and become skilled in thinking and acting mathematically.
