Why did you change your name?

The educational community is going through unprecedented change, and we think it’s important to be really clear about our identity, our purpose, and how we help educators successfully navigate change. We believe that learning requires more than lecture and memorization—students learn best by doing. To optimize learning, students need to experience hands-on learning solutions that range from curriculum-based manipulatives to engaging digital applications.

As such, we are changing our name to hand2mind. We want our name to resonate with educators the way our educational materials connect with teachers and students.

Do you accept school Purchase Orders (PO) online?

Yes. We accept purchase orders as a form of payment and you can upload a copy right from the checkout page for faster processing. Please make sure that the billing and shipping addresses are the same as they appear on your purchase order.

I'm a tax exempt school, how do you handle taxes?

Tax exempt schools will not be charged sales tax. Your first order placed on our site will still show tax, but you WILL NOT be charged tax if your school is eligible for tax exemption. Every order thereafter placed with the same Sign In account will not show tax.

What is the company’s new name?

How do I get a dedicated Educational Consultant?

Each account is assigned a dedicated Educational Consultant in order to provide the best possible support for your unique needs. You can find your Educational Consultant by clicking on Contact Us at the top or the bottom of every page at hand2mind.com.

Can I get my invoice off the website?

Yes. Sign in to the site and go to My Account and then Order History for a list of your online and offline orders. You can then click through to a specific order to download a PDF of your invoice. It's that easy. You can also have invoices sent to you automatically by email by contacting us at credit@hand2mind.com with the designated email address for invoices to be sent to.

Why doesn't my discount for buying in quantity show on my order?

Currently any discounts for ordering in quantity will be calculated by our order entry department. Your final billing statement will show your discount.

How are taxes calculated?

Sales tax will be added to your invoice at the local sales tax rate, except if you reside in one of the following states: AK, AL, AR, DE, MT, ND, NH, OK, or OR. Please note that some states mandate sales tax on shipping charges.

Does hand2mind have a state contract with our state?

hand2mind has been selected as a State Contract vendor for Math, Science, and Reading Manipulatives and Supplies in:

When is my credit card billed?

Your credit card will be charged for each individual item when it is shipped from our warehouse. This could result in more than one charge if the items in your order are shipped separately.

Can I get a statement for all outstanding invoices?

Yes. Send a request to credit@hand2mind.com and we will get you a statement of all outstanding invoices.

Can I print a copy of an invoice?

Yes. Sign in to the site and go to My Account and then Order History for a list of your online and offline orders. You can then click through to a specific order to download and print a PDF of your invoice. It's that easy. Why I am not receiving any receipts?

An order confirmation will be sent to the email address that is associated with your billing address. If you are not receiving your order confirmations by email, please contact us at info@hand2mind.com or call 800.288.9920.

What if there is an incorrect charge to my account?

What should I do if my credit card is declined?

Can I become a dealer or wholesaler of your products?

How do I get a copy of your printed catalog?

We are happy to send you a catalog. Just complete the catalog request form [URL] and a catalog will be shipped to you.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

Sales tax will be added to your invoice, except if you reside in one of the following states: AK, AL, AR, DE, MT, ND, NH, OK, or OR. Please note that some states mandate sales tax on shipping charges. Tax exempt organizations must provide a copy of their tax exempt certificate, and all tax exempt purchases must be billed to your organization.

Due to the name change, are there also changes to how I should place orders or receive support?

No. All office telephone and fax numbers will remain the same. The hand2mind corporate telephone number will remain 800.288.9920, and our fax number will remain 800.875.9643. Email addresses will change to follow the format of: first initial, last name @hand2mind.com. (Example: John Smith is jsmith@hand2mind.com). However, emails sent to “etacuisenaire.com” email addresses will continue to be delivered.

Due to the company's name change, are there changes to the availability of products that I have purchased from ETA/Cuisenaire in the past?

Products in our current hand2mind catalogs and listed on hand2mind.com, along with any custom kits, will continue to be available for purchase.

Should payments now be made payable to hand2mind instead of ETA/Cuisenaire?

Does hand2mind need a new tax certificate from our business reflecting the new name?

Yes. We would appreciate a new tax certificate on file with our new name. Please email an updated one to: credit@hand2mind.com.

What are your terms?

Our business terms to public schools and institutions are net 30 days, F.O.B. Vernon Hills, Illinois, or shipping point. Shipping and handling charges of 12% of the order value ($7.00 minimum) will be added to your invoice. We cannot accept C.O.D. orders. Individual U.S. customers and International customers must pay by credit card or send in by check with your order. You can print out your order using the "Print Order" button found in your cart.

What is your return policy?

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not pleased with your merchandise, call Customer Service at 800.288.9920. Please have your packing list available.

Merchandise that does not meet with your approval may be returned in resalable condition within 30 days of receipt of shipment for credit or exchange. Please note that all returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Computer software and video tapes may be returned only if unopened and in resalable condition. Defective software or video tapes may be exchanged for an identical item. We do not accept hand2mind gift cards except where required by law. Unless the return is based on our error, we cannot refund shipping charges. Note: All sales of clearance outlet merchandise are final—these items may not be returned. Custom kits are not eligible for return.

Before returning any merchandise, be sure to call Customer Service first to receive a Return Authorization Number to include with your return documents.

All credit and return paperwork is processed within two business days. Credit to the account is processed as soon as the merchandise is received.

Does hand2mind sell gift cards?

Yes. We sell gift cards in varying amounts.

What methods of payment does hand2mind accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. At this time, hand2mind does not offer open payment terms for individuals.

We will accept your purchase order for those accounts approved to use purchase orders via the web. Invoices must be paid in accordance with the invoice terms and conditions. We may need to contact you to verify purchase order information before processing your order.

If I don’t have a Promethean brand whiteboard, can I still use your interactive whiteboard products?

Yes. However, our virtual manipulatives and flipcharts run on Promethean ActivInspire software. You must have the software installed in order to use the materials on any interactive whiteboard. A free download with installation information is available on Promethean Planet (support.prometheanplanet.com/).

I already have Adobe Reader installed on my computer. Why can’t I get any files to open?

Go to the Adobe Reader website (get.adobe.com/reader) and download any updates. If the files still will not open, this may be due to a security setting having changed. Installing Adobe Reader again should default the security settings.

I get an “Invalid Code” message when I enter my code to acquire Digital Classroom Lessons at zebrazapps.com.

There could be a couple of reasons why you are receiving an “Invalid Code” message. First off, capitalization matters. Check the code for capitalization errors and try again.

Also, the code within each book is for one grade for one account for one teacher. Attempting to use the code for one grade to acquire Digital Classroom Lessons from other grades will eventually cause this message.

What do I need to install in order to use the Digital Classroom Lessons for Hands-On Standards Fractions?

Digital Classroom Lessons are web-based so all you need is a web browser, a working Internet connection, and the current version of Adobe Flash Player. To make sure you have the most up-to-date version, go to get.adobe.com/flashplayer.

Can I order over the phone?

Our website is designed to make ordering on the Internet the quickest and easiest way to shop. Standing in line or waiting on hold are things of the past! If you have difficulties ordering online, or would like to speak to Customer Service, call 800.288.9920.

Can I use my mobile device or tablet to place an order?

Yes. hand2mind.com is compatible with the Safari - iOS 6.0 and later browsers as well as Android - Chrome 30 and later browsers.

Is it safe to use my credit card?

Yes! We use VeriSign encryption technology. This safeguards your order information, keeping it private and protected, assuring the security of using your credit card to shop on our site.

What if my order is damaged when I receive it?

Before signing the delivery receipt, check for shortages in the carton count and for any visible damage to the cartons. Note shortages or carton damage on your receipt and have the driver do likewise. Keep the original shipping cartons that show the damage. Do not destroy them! Immediately notify our office and the delivery carrier of the problem. We will replace damaged goods at minimal inconvenience to you.

Will you send an order confirmation?

You will receive an order confirmation via email at the address that you provided in your order. This confirmation will include an order number, and will detail all the information you provided on your order. The confirmation will also detail each individual item ordered and the item's price.

Why do I need an ad to prove someone else has a lower price?

Because hand2mind does not have stores throughout the US, it would be extremely difficult to verify low prices in local stores throughout the US without an advertisement.

Will you beat the prices of another Internet retailer or membership warehouse?

We cannot honor these prices because it is difficult to verify stock availability. Unlike hand2mind, these stores do not always fully stock their items or have them readily available. The fully stocked warehouse at hand2mind ensures that not only will you receive what you order, but you'll receive it quickly.

I completed a network install of The Super Source Resource Library. When I open the program, I keep getting asked to select the media folder.

The program can't find your media files. You should first copy the “media” folder to a shared network folder.

Navigate to the CD-ROM drive, right-click and select to open the CD files. Select and copy the “media” folder; save it to a shared location. On the fourth screen of the install, you’ll be asked to “Please select the directory to install the media files.” Click “Browse” to navigate to the location you saved the folder to.

Why can’t I get the search functionality to work on The Super Source Resource Library CD-ROM?

The Super Source Resource Library CD-ROM does not support OS X® 10.7 or later or Microsoft® Windows® 7 or later.

All content files can still be opened from the CD-ROM following these steps:

1. Open the root folder of your CD-ROM.
2. Double-click the "media" folder.
3. Double-click the "pdf" folder.

To find the lesson you desire within the “pdf” folder, please use this Microsoft Excel® search reference. If the above doesn’t resolve your issue, please contact Customer Support.

Is everything I see in the catalog available online?
Yes. All the items in the current catalog(s) are available at hand2mind.com.
Is everything I see on the website listed in the catalog?

No. Due to limited space of the catalog we are not able to list every item we have available on hand2mind.com.

Do your prices change?

Prices are those in effect at the date of shipment and subject to change without notice. However, authorization to ship is generally requested if a price increase exceeds 15%. In the rare event of an error in price, picture, or description, hand2mind will attempt to notify you prior to processing your order.

Are the prices in the catalog the same as the prices online?

Yes. The list prices are the same between the catalog and website. We do, however, occasionally offer special promotions on our website.

Why do the web item numbers begin with the IN prefix instead of the prefix used in the print catalog?

IN is the product prefix used on the website. hand2mind.com accepts all part numbers from our print catalogs.

Does hand2mind offer other products not listed on the website or catalog?

Yes. hand2mind has an extensive line of products available beyond what we are able to show in our catalog or on our website. Please contact Customer Service at 800.288.9920 if you're unable to find a product here.

How do I unsubscribe from your email list?

There are several ways to unsubscribe from our email list. Every non-transactional email will have an unsubscribe link in it that will allow you to unsubscribe from non-transactional emails.

You can change your preferences on your My Account page by unchecking the email preference checkbox.

I completed a network install of eVersaTiles. When I open the program I get an error message “Content not found. Please contact system administrator.”

The install wasn’t linked to the correct content location. Before running the install, you must first copy the “content” folder to a shared network folder.

Navigate to the CD-ROM drive, right-click, and select to open the CD files. Select and copy the “content” folder on the CD; save it to a shared location. Copy and paste time varies per computer. Once the pasting process begins, you can continue through the eVT installation screens.

On the “Choose Content Folder” screen of the install, you will enter the path to the saved location of the content. Click “Choose” to navigate to the location. Make sure to select the actual “content” folder and not just the folder you saved it in.

Who should I contact to complete and return a conflict of interest questionnaire (CIQ)?

Do you ship overseas?

Yes. hand2mind will ship your order if it is a minimum of $1,000 US Dollars. Orders will be shipped to your freight forwarder or parcel carrier within the contiguous United States per your direction. Prepayment of the order total plus a 20% shipping and handling fee is required for the assembly of your order. If the actual shipping charges for your order exceed 20% of your order total, you will be contacted for additional payment. You are responsible for clearing the products through customs and any charges for customs and duties are the responsibility of you, the customer and your agents.

Actual shipping charges will not appear during online checkout, shipping charges will only appear on your invoice. Prepayment can be made using credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) or through a bank wire transfer. Please allow up to 5 business days for the processing of bank wire transfers.

What are your delivery terms?

All orders are processed as rapidly as possible. In order to expedite shipment, we reserve the right to alter designs and specifications or make substitutions without prior notice—all items will be of equal or greater quality and educational value. If merchandise is temporarily out of stock, the item(s) will be backordered and shipped as soon as possible.

How are shipping fees calculated?

Contiguous United States: Shipping charges for orders within the contiguous United States requiring no international shipping documents are 12% ($7 minimum) of the order. All orders from individuals can be processed if accompanied by check, money order, or credit card information (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover). For expedited shipping, please call us at 800.288.9920.

Alaska, Hawaii and Canada: Shipping charges for orders to these locations are 20% ($20 minimum) of the order. If the actual shipping charges for your order exceed 20% of your order total, you will be contacted for additional payment. Actual shipping charges will not appear during online checkout; shipping charges will only appear on your invoice. Orders may take as long as 6–8 weeks for delivery. All orders from individuals can be processed if accompanied by check, money order, or credit card information (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover).

All other locations: hand2mind will ship your order if it is a minimum of $1,000 US Dollars. How long does it take to receive my order?

Standard shipping goes by UPS Ground which takes 3–5 business days. 

Next day and 2nd day orders: In-Stock items on orders placed before 9:00am CST Monday - Friday will be shipped the same day. Orders placed after 9:00am CST will ship the next business day.

You can check on the status of your order online by signing in and going to My Account and then to Order History to find a specific order. You can also contact Customer Service for an update at 800.288.9920. 

International orders (including Alaska and Hawaii) are sent parcel post and take approximately 6–8 weeks for delivery.

Why did my order arrive in two different shipments?

We make every effort to ship your products at the same time. However, on occasion a limited availability of the products may require that the order be shipped at different times. When products are backordered, we will ship those products that are currently in stock. This leads to the possibility of deliveries arriving in separate packages on separate days.

What is Quick Order?

Quick Order allows you to add items to your cart by using an item's catalog number—you don't have to search for the item, saving you time.

Here are the steps to use the Quick Order form:
Type the item number in the "Item Number" section of the Quick Order form.

Specify the quantity desired by typing a number in the "Quantity" section of the Order Form.

Then click "Add to Cart." The Catalog No. for that item should now appear in Your Cart, along with a Description, Price, Discount Price (if applicable), and Quantity.

You may change the quantity desired for an item by typing a new quantity in the "Quantity" column of the Shopping Cart; then click "Update Cart."

Finally, to place your order, click on "Checkout."

How can I make sure hand2mind is on my district’s vendor list?

If we are not on your Vendor List, we want to be! Fax your Vendor’s Application to 888.333.9588 or email it to bids@hand2mind.com.

How can I find out if my school qualifies for free shipping?

You can contact Customer Service at 800.288.9920 to see if your school has free shipping with us.

If your school has free shipping with us, simply add items to your cart and checkout. Your free shipping will be reflected in the shipping options.  

Are there any items that are not included in your Price Match Guarantee?

Our guarantee does not apply to limited-quantity offers, manufacturer's rebates, previous purchases, calculators, closeouts, clearances, previously-used products, or typographical errors. Items must be identical to items advertised (e.g., color, quantity, material, size, etc.). The Price Match Guarantee cannot be combined with other offers/discounts/promotions.

Which products are available only from hand2mind?

Sole Source products found in our paper catalogs, brochures, promotional literature, and on our website can be distinguished by the letter P in the 3rd position of the item number. For example, XXP-XXXX. These products are manufactured, sold, and distributed exclusively by hand2mind.

How many promotions can I use per order?

How can I find out if my district has a discount?

You can sign into hand2mind.com to see if you have a discount through your school district. All discount prices are reflected online, just navigate to a product and if you have a discount applied then your online account is properly associated to your district's discount. What are your terms?

Our business terms to public schools and institutions are net 30 days, F.O.B. Vernon Hills, Illinois, or shipping point. Shipping and handling charges of 12% of the order value ($7.00 minimum) will be added to your invoice. We cannot accept C.O.D. orders. Individual U.S. customers and International customers must pay by credit card or send in by check with your order. You can print out your order using the "Print Order" button found in your cart.

What is your return policy?

The program can't find your media files. You should first copy the “media” folder to a shared network folder.

I completed a network install of eVersaTiles. When I open the program I get an error message “Content not found. Please contact system administrator.”

The install wasn’t linked to the correct content location. Before running the install, you must first copy the “content” folder to a shared network folder.

Navigate to the CD-ROM drive, right-click, and select to open the CD files. Select and copy the “content” folder on the CD; save it to a shared location. Copy and paste time varies per computer. Once the pasting process begins, you can continue through the eVT installation screens.

On the “Choose Content Folder” screen of the install, you will enter the path to the saved location of the content. Click “Choose” to navigate to the location. Make sure to select the actual “content” folder and not just the folder you saved it in.

I completed a network install of eVersaTiles. When I open the program I get an error message “Content not found. Please contact system administrator.”

The install wasn’t linked to the correct content location. Before running the install, you must first copy the “content” folder to a shared network folder.

Navigate to the CD-ROM drive, right-click, and select to open the CD files. Select and copy the “content” folder on the CD; save it to a shared location. Copy and paste time varies per computer. Once the pasting process begins, you can continue through the eVT installation screens.

On the “Choose Content Folder” screen of the install, you will enter the path to the saved location of the content. Click “Choose” to navigate to the location. Make sure to select the actual “content” folder and not just the folder you saved it in.

What if my order is damaged when I receive it?

Before signing the delivery receipt, check for shortages in the carton count and for any visible damage to the cartons. Note shortages or carton damage on your receipt and have the driver do likewise. Keep the original shipping cartons that show the damage. Do not destroy them! Immediately notify our office and the delivery carrier of the problem. We will replace damaged goods at minimal inconvenience to you.

Will you send an order confirmation?

You will receive an order confirmation via email at the address that you provided in your order. This confirmation will include an order number, and will detail all the information you provided on your order. The confirmation will also detail each individual item ordered and the item's price.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes. hand2mind will ship your order if it is a minimum of $1,000 US Dollars. Orders will be shipped to your freight forwarder or parcel carrier within the contiguous United States per your direction. Prepayment of the order total plus a 20% shipping and handling fee is required for the assembly of your order. If the actual shipping charges for your order exceed 20% of your order total, you will be contacted for additional payment. You are responsible for clearing the products through customs and any charges for customs and duties are the responsibility of you, the customer and your agents.

Actual shipping charges will not appear during online checkout, shipping charges will only appear on your invoice. Prepayment can be made using credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) or through a bank wire transfer. Please allow up to 5 business days for the processing of bank wire transfers.

What are your delivery terms?

All orders are processed as rapidly as possible. In order to expedite shipment, we reserve the right to alter designs and specifications or make substitutions without prior notice—all items will be of equal or greater quality and educational value. If merchandise is temporarily out of stock, the item(s) will be backordered and shipped as soon as possible.

How are shipping fees calculated?

Contiguous United States: Shipping charges for orders within the contiguous United States requiring no international shipping documents are 12% ($7 minimum) of the order. All orders from individuals can be processed if accompanied by check, money order, or credit card information (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover). For expedited shipping, please call us at 800.288.9920.

Alaska, Hawaii and Canada: Shipping charges for orders to these locations are 20% ($20 minimum) of the order. If the actual shipping charges for your order exceed 20% of your order total, you will be contacted for additional payment. Actual shipping charges will not appear during online checkout; shipping charges will only appear on your invoice. Orders may take as long as 6–8 weeks for delivery. How long does it take to receive my order?

Standard shipping goes by UPS Ground which takes 3–5 business days. 

Next day and 2nd day orders: In-Stock items on orders placed before 9:00am CST Monday - Friday will be shipped the same day. Orders placed after 9:00am CST will ship the next business day.

You can check on the status of your order online by signing in and going to My Account and then to Order History to find a specific order. You can also contact Customer Service for an update at 800.288.9920. 

International orders (including Alaska and Hawaii) are sent parcel post and take approximately 6–8 weeks for delivery.

Why did my order arrive in two different shipments?

We make every effort to ship your products at the same time. However, on occasion a limited availability of the products may require that the order be shipped at different times. When products are backordered, we will ship those products that are currently in stock. This leads to the possibility of deliveries arriving in separate packages on separate days.

What is Quick Order?

Quick Order allows you to add items to your cart by using an item's catalog number—you don't have to search for the item, saving you time.

Here are the steps to use the Quick Order form:
Type the item number in the "Item Number" section of the Quick Order form.

Specify the quantity desired by typing a number in the "Quantity" section of the Order Form.

Then click "Add to Cart." The Catalog No. for that item should now appear in Your Cart, along with a Description, Price, Discount Price (if applicable), and Quantity.

You may change the quantity desired for an item by typing a new quantity in the "Quantity" column of the Shopping Cart; then click "Update Cart."

Finally, to place your order, click on "Checkout."

Can I add items to my cart and then print it so I can fax or mail in my order?

After adding items to your cart, click the Print Order link on the cart page and it will create a printable order form with the items from your cart already filled in. If you are already logged in, the form will populate your information as well.

How many promotions can I use per order?

While you may qualify for more than one promotion, there is a limit of one promotion per order. You may use any given promotion code only once. Void where prohibited.
