  3. 10 MB hard disk space
  4. 450 MB for media files (for network installation)
  5. Java Runtime v1.4.2 or higher, Adobe Acrobat v6.0 and Apple Quicktime v6.0
  6. CD-ROM drive
• Installation Instructions - Windows
  1. Insert CD in CD-ROM drive
  2. Installation should begin automatically, but if it doesn't open the CD-ROM drive in My Computer and double-click the SuperSourceSetup.exe to start the installation.
  3. When prompted select the location to install the program to.
  4. (Network install only)
     Next select the location to install the media files to, or if they're already on the network select the location where they can be found.
• Installation Instructions - Windows Vista
  1. Follow the instructions for a normal Windows Installation.
  2. Once that is you must download and install the Windows Vista versions of the following software.
     - Java (download @ java.com
     - Quicktime (download @ apple.com
     - Adobe Reader (download @ adobe.com
• Installation Instructions - Macintosh
  1. Insert CD in CD-ROM drive
  2. Open the CD folder
  3. Drag 'The Super Source' icon onto your drive and double click the icon to run.
  4. (Network install only)
     ** if media files already copied to the network skip this step **
     Copy the entire media folder onto your network server in a shared folder
  5. The first time the program is run you will be prompted to select the media folder.
  6. For single user installation, select the media folder on the CD-ROM
  7. For network install, select the media folder that was dragged into the shared folder on the network server.
• What should I do if I cannot get the lessons to open?
  Please download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• I already had Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on my computer, but the files still won't open.
  Go to the Adobe Acrobat Reader website and download any patches that have been created for your version of Reader. If the files still will not open, this may be due to a security setting having changed. Downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader again should default the security settings.
• What should I do if the videos will not play?
  Please download the latest version of QuickTime Video Player.
• The program won't start?
  The Super Source on CD-ROM requires Java Runtime v1.4.2 or higher to run.

  Super Source Resource Library CD-ROM does not support Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) at this time. All content files can still be located by opening the CD-ROM directly on your desktop following these steps.

  1. Double-click the CD-ROM icon on your desktop.
  2. Double-click the media folder.
  3. Double-click the pdf folder.
• When I start the program why does it keep asking me to select the
  media folder?
  The program can't find your media files at the default location.
  - For network install, select the media folder that was put on the network
  - For single user install, select the media folder on the CD-ROM
• What should I do if the program will not close/exit?
  Please download the latest version of QuickTime Video Player.
• When I try to start the program, it says “Error in Java launcher. No acceptable JVMs were found.”
  The Super Source on CD-ROM requires Java Runtime v1.4.2 or higher to run.
