ETA/Cuisenaire supports instruction for English language learners (ELLs) through supplemental hands-on resources and culturally responsive materials that promote language, literacy, and vocabulary acquisition throughout the content areas.
Hands-On Learning for Literacy and Math
Hands-on skill practice helps students move gradually from concrete experiences to abstract reasoning and critical thinking. ETA/Cuisenaire hands-on resources provide the support students need to acquire English language proficiency by using all four language domains—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—as they relate to the literacy and math curriculum.
Content Literacy Instruction
Cross-curricular nonfiction and engaging fiction reading resources enhance literacy learning for ELLs by providing opportunities for reading, discussing, and writing about people, places, issues, and content that are real and relevant. ETA/Cuisenaire offers literacy resources that teach students academic vocabulary for math, science, social studies, history, language arts, and contemporary global issues.
